INTINORARY FOR THE WEEKEND

The First Day:

Start your day off by grabbing breakfast at Sqirl in Silver Lake. This trendy cafe is known for its delicious toast, jams, and breakfast bowls. Make sure to try their famous Ricotta Toast or their famous Sorrel Pesto Rice Bowl. They also have a great selection of coffee, tea, and juices.

After, head to The Getty Center, an art museum that houses a collection of European paintings, drawings, sculpture, and decorative arts, as well as photographs and contemporary art. Take the tram up the hill to the museum and spend the morning exploring the galleries and gardens. The views of the city from the museum’s hilltop location are also a must.

For lunch, make your way over to Grand Central Market, a historic food hall in Downtown LA. This market has a wide variety of food vendors to choose from, ranging from tacos and ramen to oysters and pizza. Find a spot to sit and enjoy your lunch, people watch, and take in the atmosphere.

After lunch, make your way over to the iconic Hollywood sign. There are several different ways to see the sign, but one popular option is to hike the Griffith Observatory trail. The hike is about 3 miles round trip and offers beautiful views of the city, including the Hollywood sign.

For dinner, head to Gjelina in Venice, an awesome restaurant with a menu that emphasizes fresh, seasonal ingredients. The wood-fired pizzas and small plates are particularly delicious. If you’re in the mood for something a little more low-key, head to Abbot Kinney Boulevard, which is lined with boutiques, galleries, and restaurants.

The Second Day:

Start your day off with a hike in Runyon Canyon, a popular hiking trail in the Hollywood Hills. The trail is about 2.5 miles round trip and offers stunning views of the city. If you’re lucky, you might even spot a celebrity on the trail!

For lunch, head to Langer’s Deli, a legendary Jewish deli in the Westlake neighborhood. They are famous for their pastrami sandwich, which is considered one of the best in the city. Make sure to pair it with a side of their crispy fries.

After, make your way over to Redondo Beach, known for its beautiful beaches and scenic ocean views. Visitors can also enjoy a stroll along the Redondo Beach Pier, which features restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues.

For dinner, head to the Arts District, a neighborhood in Downtown LA that has become a hub for food, art, and culture. Grab dinner at Bestia, a popular Italian restaurant known for its house-made charcuterie, wood-fired pizzas, and fresh pasta. After dinner, head to Angel City Brewery, a local brewery with a great selection of craft beers.

Finish off your weekend with a visit to the Hollywood Bowl, a legendary outdoor amphitheater that hosts concerts and events throughout the year. If you’re lucky enough to catch a concert, it’s an experience you won’t forget.

Overall, there’s no shortage of things to see and do in Los Angeles. From art and culture to food and outdoor adventures, there’s something for everyone. This itinerary is just a starting point, so feel free to explore and discover your own favorite spots in the city.
